MISSION STATEMENT The mission of the K-8 Performing Arts is to provide a comprehensive instructional program that helps prepare students as performers, creators, and perceptive and critical audience members. We strive to set and maintain the highest standards in musical and dramatic performance and to develop the abilities of students to better understand the expressive meanings in the arts. We serve all students by: promoting multiple ways to explore the arts; developing each child’s technical skill and capacity for artistic expression; improving students’ perceptual abilities; and promoting habits of thinking and reflection that enhance artistic practice and understanding.
