Deborah Holman- Headmaster

The headmaster is responsible and accountable for the education of all students at Brookline High. She works with all constituencies -- students, staff, parents, central office staff, the school committee, town agencies, and citizens of the community -- to establish goals, implement plans, and monitor results. Working with these constituencies, she proposes and manages a $14 million budget, hires and supervises the staff, and communicates regularly about the life of the school.

Hal Mason- Assistant Headmaster

The Assistant Headmaster is responsible for coordinating the efforts of all the staff in the building to make Brookline High School the best possible learning community. This involves: scheduling for students, teachers, events, and the facility; troubleshooting day to day issues in the building; and communicating with the entire school community on all of these issues.

Diane Lande

Diane Lande - Dean of Students

The Dean of Students, along with two assistant deans, oversees the educational program of students in grades 9 and 11. Working with guidance counselors as well, the deans monitor the academic, social, and extra-curricular involvement of their assigned students. Through the development of positive relationships with students, the Deans work to leverage higher academic achievement and constructive high school experiences for all of their students.

Lenny-Libenzon


Lenny Libenzon- Coordinator of Guidance

The Coordinator of Guidance is in charge of maintaining a comprehensive guidance program for all students at BHS.  He supports, evaluates and supervises guidance counselors and school social workers.  In addition, he provides support to department team members for individual student / teacher / parent concerns, meets with families new to the Brookline community and serves as a member of the high school's Crisis Intervention Team and Student Study Team. The Coordinator of Guidance is also the liaison with the College Board and handles all PSAT, SAT, and AP testing as well as the eligibility process for students with disabilities.

Sarah Orlov


Sarah Orlov- Director of High School Special Education

The Director of High School Special Education is responsible for the management and supervision of all special education personnel and programs at BHS. The director works with both the central office administration as well as the high school administration to maintain ongoing communication and provide leadership, professional development and support for integrating student programs and services with general education at BHS. The director works to ensure a continuum of programs and services for students transitioning from Brookline's eight elementary schools and collaborates with the Special Education Parent Advisory Council (SEPAC).
