Overview
This department provides students with curriculum in physical education for grades K-8 and curriculum in health and fitness for grades 9 -12. From elementary through high school, students are presented with activities that are appropriate for their level of maturity and development. They follow the developmental sequence from body management competence to fundamental skills to specialized skills, while simultaneously addressing physical fitness and social skills.

Health and Physical Education Program Review
Every curriculum and program area is involved in a continuous Program Review process. Phase I and Phase II of Program Review include an examination of the current state of the program/curriculum area and the development of an action plan for program improvement. Implementation of the action plan and on-going data gathering are the work of Phase III/IV. Links to Phase I and II reports and presentations to the School Committee are provided below.
