CDC Guidance on Helping Child Care and Early Childhood Programs Respond to Influenza during the 2009 - 2010 Influenza Season:
This document provides guidance to help decrease the spread of influenza (flu) among children in early childhood programs and among early childhood providers during the 2009 - 2010 flu season. The guidance expands upon earlier guidance documents by providing a menu of tools that health officials, Head Start, and other early childhood and child care providers can choose from based on conditions in their area. The Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) has announced the accountability status and Adequate Yearly Progress (AYP) determinations under the No Child Left Behind Act (NCLB) for all schools in the Commonwealth. Brookline Teacher receives National Award
2009 Outstanding Elementary Level Social Studies Teacher of the Year.
Marcy Prager, First Grade Teacher at the Driscoll School, has been named 2009 Outstanding Elementary Level Social Studies Teacher of the Year by the National Council for the Social Studies (NCSS). This is a national award and she will be presented with her award along with a check for $2,500, at the NCSS 89th Annual Conference in Atlanta, Georgia on Friday, November 13th, 2009.
