School Committee Votes Andrew Bott as the Preferred Candidate to be the Next Superintendent of the Public Schools of Brookline
After a robust discussion and review of feedback from teachers, staff, parents, and community members on all three finalist candidates, the School Committee voted in support of Andrew Bott as the preferred candidate to become the next Superintendent of the Public Schools of Brookline.
On Thursday, March 10th the Committee will meet to make a final vote to appoint a superintendent, subject to successful contract negotiations.
The results of the vote for a preferred candidate were as follows: six votes for Andrew Bott, one for Jon Sills and two abstentions
The School Committee considered input on the final candidates from the following sources:
· More than 200 feedback surveys from teachers, staff, parents, community members
· Reference checks conducted by School Committee members and our executive search consultant
· Emails from staff, parents, community members.
