Universal Summer Program
An additional site has been added to the Universal Summer Program at the Baker School. Parents/guardians will receive more information from the Office of Teaching and Learning about the new site and have another chance to register for the program if they have not done so already.
BHS Commencement
The graduation ceremony for the class of 2021 will be held next Sunday, June 6 at Fisher Hill Reservoir Park. While the gathering limits for outdoor activities have been lifted, only sibling(s) and/or legal parent/guardian(s) of a graduate can attend. All attendees must be listed in advance on the graduation survey. In addition, all attendees and graduates must monitor their temperatures and symptoms on the day of graduation and may not attend if they demonstrate any COVID-like symptoms. The ceremony is slated to begin at 1:00 p.m., with an earlier starting window from 11:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. if dangerous weather is predicted. The ceremony will also be live streamed by the Brookline Interactive Group (BIG).
REMINDER: Family Survey on SY2021-22 Plans
Beginning today, families will receive a short survey sent from their schools asking about their plans for the new school year in September 2021. This survey will help ensure that your records, information, and data with PSB is accurate, as well as support our ongoing efforts to closely monitor K-12 enrollment in our community. Please be on the lookout for this message and complete your responses by Thursday, June 10.

Non-vaccinated individuals are also advised to continue wearing facial coverings indoors and when unable to socially distance when outdoors.
School Highlights
- Remote Learning Academy: During their Ancient Greece unit, 7th grade students were treated to a performance of the myths of Phaeton and Pandora by actor Jeff Benoit. Jeff also gave a brief historical overview of Greek theatre and masks, as well as showing his process for making his own theatrical masks. For the myth of Pandora, Jeff invited eight student actors to join him in the performance - altogether, they put on a splendid show!
- BEEP at Beacon: Ms. O’Connell’s preschool students had some fun this week showing off their work and vocabulary to Interim Superintendent Marini’s visit to the BEEP Beacon campus! Check out some of their pictures here.
- Baker: K-5 students began participating in a weekly class called "Bulldog Block,” led by Ms. Cuff, Ms. Otero, and Ms. McNeil. Classes alternate between Social-Emotional Learning and STEM curriculums, including discussions on teaching tolerance, overcoming adversity, and utilizing additional experiential labs and other hands-on activities.
