Extended Day ProgramsBEEP Extended Day ProgramsOur extended day program at BEEP has been carefully crafted to meet the developmental needs of young children. A nurturing and supportive environment provides opportunities for lunch, rest, play, recreation inside and out, and open-ended creative learning experiences. We have a special focus on STEM education, as we feel science, technology, engineering, and math are critically important to our students, as well as highly engaging for them. You will receive a weekly written plan from your child's extended day teacher and periodic news letters (with photos!) throughout the school year. An extended day allows children to expand their learning from the morning, as well as develop friendships and work on their social skills. Our extended day is staffed and supervised by BEEP. Teachers meet or exceed the Department of Early Education and Care requirements for Lead Teacher. Assistance teachers meet or exceed the Department of Early Education and Care requirements for teacher qualification.BEEP currently offers Extended Day programs at four of our sites, Clark Road, Coolidge Corner School, Lynch Center and Putterham. Schedule options include extended day until 3:00 pm or 5:45 pm, two to five days a week. To attend either of these programs, students must be enrolled in a BEEP morning program at the same site. Please note that space is limited and placements are offered to enrolled families on a first come, first served basis.
