Data & Information Systems
-
The primary function of the Data and Informations Systems office is to perform tasks related to the collection, management, and submission of data required for state and federal reporting including, but not limited to, enrollment, attendance, and assessment.
The office develops and manages the integration of student and staff information across various applications that are used for course scheduling, registration and enrollment, college applications, communications, health and food services, assessment, and library circulation. Managing the complex integration of these systems enables PSB to provide essential functions across all schools, such as: school enrollment, publication of term and progress reports to families, regular and emergency communications with our school communities.
In addition, the office also develops other automation solutions to promote efficiency and accuracy across all platforms in order to improve end user experience.
Another important function of this office is to provide high quality support to staff and parents as well as to contextualize the vast amounts of data that we collect by creating data visualizations and analysis for both internal and external stakeholders.
