Substitute Application Process

  • Brookline is Hiring Substitute Teachers

Brookline accepts applications for per-diem substitutes year-round.***

Enjoy a flexible schedule and competitive wages while working in a diverse, highly sought-after public school district if you are considering subbing for work experience in an educational setting, transitioning back to employment outside the home, to supplement your income, or as an employment opportunity while in-between jobs or schooling, please consider the Public Schools of Brookline (PSB).

PSB serves approximately 7,000 kindergarten to grade 12 students. We operate eight elementary (K-8) schools, one high school, and the Early Education Program (BEEP) in the Town of Brookline. Our PSB substitute model this year is a traditional on-call daily assignment via our HRIS Frontline (AESOP) system. The Frontline (AESOP) platform allows subs to choose projects and often work ahead of time.

The Public Schools of Brookline is especially interested in qualified candidates who can contribute through their teaching or practice to the diversity and excellence of the PSB community.
