SCHOOL COMMITTEE VOTES UNANIMOUSLY FOR DR. LINUS GUILLORY TO BE BROOKLINE'S NEXT SUPERINTENDENT

On Thursday, March 4, with a unanimous vote, the School Committee approved Dr. Linus Guillory as the new Superintendent of the Public Schools of Brookline, beginning July 1, 2021 and pending successful contract negotiations.
Dr. Linus Guillory

Dr. Guillory brings a wealth of experience to Brookline. He has been a classroom teacher, a principal, curriculum leader, and deputy superintendent over his 20-year career in education. In addition, he worked at the NASA Space Center in Houston for 6 years as an education specialist helping educators access NASA education products. Dr. Guillory earned his BA in Biology with a minor in chemistry at Texas A&M; he went on to earn his PHD in Environmental Science at Oklahoma State University. 

 

Dr. Guillory is a collaborative leader, who puts children first along with the joy of learning. His colleagues and supervisees describe him as an excellent listener and thought partner, who is always available to help out. The community in their feedback highlighted his interpersonal skills and his commitment to putting students first as a good fit for Brookline.
