Public Comment on Proposed Drafts for School Policy Under Review
The Brookline School Committee (BSC), through its Subcommittee on Policy Review, regularly reviews and, when necessary, revises or creates written policies governing the Public Schools of Brookline (PSB). All current/approved policies are available through the Policy Manual. In an effort to improve public feedback on policy revisions, the proposed draft of any policy under review will be posted on the Public Schools website when it is approved for a First Reading by the full School Committee. Current policy drafts under review are listed below. Normally, the period for public comment will be for ten (10) calendar days following a First Reading so that the School Committee can consider comments before its final deliberation. To provide input on any of the policies under consideration that are listed below or any other School Committee Policies, please email the School Committee.
The Policy Review Subcommittee has two policies under review and welcomes your feedback.
1. Proposed Revision of the PSB Substance Use Prevention and Education Policy - 1st Reading held on March 2, 2023 and 2nd Reading held on March 16, 2023. School Committee has not taken a final vote on this policy, pending a review by Town Counsel.
