Grade 6-8 Math Curriculum Update

During the 2018-2019 school year PSB had a large scale successful pilot of Illustrative Mathematics in grades 6-8. After gathering feedback from our pilot teachers throughout the year and making adjustments in alignment to the 2017 Massachusetts Mathematics Curriculum Framework, we are implementing this curriculum as our primary instructional resource in grades 6-8 during the 2019-2020 school year. Illustrative Mathematics is a problem-based curriculum that supports teachers in making meaningful mathematics accessible to all learners through the development of conceptual understanding, procedural fluency, and application in real-world contexts.*
